The largest collection of Victorian-era industrial architecture in North America, the Distillery District is a pedestrian-only neighbourhood of cobblestone lanes, red-brick warehouses, art galleries, restaurants, and one remaining craft distillery — all built on the site of the former Gooderham and Worts Whisky Distillery (1832). The district hosts the Toronto Christmas Market each December and the Toronto Light Festival through the winter months. A strong choice for an afternoon or evening stroll any time of year, with consistently good food and coffee options throughout.
