Oakville’s historic downtown core, established in 1827, is lined with independent shops, heritage buildings, and cafés. The Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate sits right at the harbour on the grounds of the original Chisholm family estate. A few hours of wandering between Trafalgar Road and the waterfront rewards visitors with bookshops, boutiques, and bakeries in equal measure.
