Bronte Boathouse is the most celebrated restaurant at Bronte Harbour and one of the most consistently well-regarded waterfront dining destinations in the Halton Region. Located directly on the Bronte marina at 90 Bronte Road, it provides a dining room and heated patio with views over the marina, the creek, and Lake Ontario beyond — a view that changes through the seasons as the boat population shifts between summer sailing and winter haul-out.

The menu is coastal-inspired with a strong seafood foundation, built around the location’s maritime character. The seafood hot pot boil has developed a loyal following and draws dedicated visitors from across the GTA — a generous shellfish and seafood pot with seasonal ingredients cooked to order, designed for sharing. The kitchen also does oysters, fish mains, and a selection of non-seafood options for those in groups with varied tastes.

The patio is heated and extends the season well into fall — dining on Bronte Harbour’s waterfront with the boats in the background and Lake Ontario visible beyond the marina entrance is as atmospheric in September and October as it is in July. Reservations are strongly recommended for weekend dinner service and summer evenings generally — walk-ins are accepted when available but the patio fills quickly on warm nights.

The restaurant sits within easy walking distance of Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park and the Bronte section of the Waterfront Trail. After a walk along the marina, the Boathouse makes for a natural endpoint to an afternoon in Bronte Village.
