The Oakville Latino Festival has grown into one of the Halton Region’s most vibrant summer community celebrations — a three-day free outdoor festival held at Coronation Park on Lake Ontario each July, celebrating Latin American culture through food, live music, entertainment, art vendors, and community activities accessible to all ages and backgrounds.
The festival’s programming covers the breadth of Latin cultural expression: live musical performances spanning salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, and contemporary Latin pop on the main stage; artisan vendors with craft works and cultural products; food vendors specializing in authentic Latin American cuisine from multiple countries and culinary traditions; and community activities and demonstrations that reflect the growing Latin community’s presence in Oakville and the surrounding Halton Region.
The Coronation Park setting adds to the festival’s appeal — the combination of Lake Ontario views, mature tree canopy, and ample open park space makes the three-day event comfortable for extended visits regardless of the July heat. Families are well accommodated with activities appropriate for children alongside the main stage programming.
The festival runs Friday evening through Sunday afternoon over the Canada Day-adjacent long weekend in late July (July 24–26, 2026). All admission is free. Food and beverage vendors operate independently within the festival grounds.
The Oakville Latino Festival reflects a broader pattern in the town’s summer event calendar — Oakville has invested significantly in community festivals that celebrate the town’s cultural diversity alongside its historic heritage identity. For visitors from Mississauga and the GTA, the festival is a natural day trip pairing with a Bronte Village waterfront walk before or after the festival grounds.
