One of the most photographed lakes in the world, Lake Louise is known for its vivid turquoise colour, created by glacial rock flour suspended in the meltwater. The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise sits directly on the lakeshore, and canoe rentals at the boathouse offer one of the best ways to spend a morning on the water. Hiking trails from the lakeshore lead to historic teahouses, including the Lake Agnes Tea House and Plain of Six Glaciers trails.
