aKin is one of Toronto’s most celebrated fine dining restaurants — a Michelin-starred modern Asian tasting menu experience at 51 Colborne Street in the Financial District, a short walk from Union Station.
Created by Chef Eric Chong (first winner of MasterChef Canada) and three-Michelin-starred Chef Alvin Leung, aKin offers a 10-course blind tasting menu that draws from across Asia — Chinese, Japanese, Singaporean, and Malaysian influences woven together with Canadian seasonal ingredients sourced from Nova Scotia to British Columbia.
The intimate dining room seats just 28 guests, with 4 seats at the chef’s counter offering an up-close view of the kitchen at work, and a private underground dining room for groups of up to 8. The menu changes every two months, often inspired by a specific Asian country or seasonal celebration.
Reservations are essential and released monthly on Tock. At $225+ per person for the tasting menu, this is Toronto’s most ambitious fine dining experience — and for those who make the reservation, one of the most memorable meals in the city.
